Heather Mumma has a lengthy history of passion for the Manufactured Housing industry, recognizing this is the last form of UNSUBSIDIZED, affordable housing and our homeowners should be able to take pride in ownership.
Heather began her journey at the age of 22 as Credit Investigator for BankAmerica HousingServices (which eventually became Greenpoint Credit.)
Two years later she entered into to the retail operations of B&B Homes in Effingham, Illinois as Sales Manager and General Contractor. She won many awards for Sales over the next 19 years including 1999 “Top Gun - Best of the Best” Nationwide; Greentree Financial, along with consistent manufacturers’ “Top Retailer” awards.
She has arduously and unceasingly advocated to remove the stigma associated with mobile homes, update zoning and help pass positive legislation through advocacy and governing bodies including the Board of Directors; IMHA, Board of Directors; Midwest Housing Federation and at the local level, the Effingham County Board, HUD committee and ERCA, a building trades program.
In 2015 Heather purchased B&B Homes and continued on; creating a modular subdivision along with providing city infill, building a transport company and creating a construction company offering “turnkey” home packages.
She sold these 3 businesses in September of 2022.
She now owns and operates her NFP Animal Rescue in Central Illinois. She has 2 exceptional daughters and 9 cats.
Heather is honored to be part of such a fine 501(c)(3) entity as SECO and thankful to still be involved in our industry all the while able to pursue her newest passion of animal advocacy.
A new manufactured home community purchase is in the works and she doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
She’d like to give sincere thanks to the SECO group for supporting Veterans and animals!
